Another long driving day. I need to put a map up so you can see how far we did try to drive in a very short time. We started off the day at the Marble Arch Caves in Fermanagh (Enniskillen). The Marble Arch Caves are cut by three streams, which flow down the slopes of Cladagh River. There is a 75-minute tour we went on where you basically walk through a bit of a nature area before entering the caves, then take a small boat ride and then walk through the caves. I had difficulty taking pictures in the caves. I tried, but it is certainly not my forte.
They also said they had a waterfall….well, I do not know if I would even classify this as a worthy of signage waterfall. But, whatever, here is a photo…..
It is hard to impress me on waterfalls……..I’ve seen some amazing ones in my lifetime…..and this one, just was not exciting. And I can't believe they advertise it as something to see........I feel a bit disappointed I walked to see this!!
Cliffs of Moher
These cliffs are located on the Western part of Ireland in Clare. We decided to take a boat ride, on the JACK D, which took us for about an hour around the Cliffs and then took us to a nearby town. I got a bit seasick….but still managed to take a few photos…
Limerick
We ended the day in Limerick. Drove a bit downtown and saw that there was a cool castle (which we want to go to tomorrow). At night, Limerick didn’t feel all that safe. I did not think we would get raped or murdered, but mugged by Irish drunks….a possibility. We did manage to go to a nice local diner and then head back to the hotel.
(And no, we have not yet listened to General Conference – we are on vacation!!)
