And so the journey begins.....

Disclaimer: I may just ramble on a bit for the next few days and this blog will not be pretty as we will get online for about 10 minutes every few days, but just want to document through words and images as quickly as possible and we can make it look pretty later. And, I will not be posting the really awesome pictures, as I hate posting those online anywhere, and you'll just have to wait to see those when you come visit me in person. I will however, post some photos, that are non-prize worthy....
Journey to U2 land…..I mean Ireland (but I think the only reason we are here is to see U2 sites ☺ I mean, I love U2, but not as much as some of my friends). So, we have arrived in Dublin. The journey had some fun moments, but I will stick to after our arrival in Ireland. We obtained our rental car, and we attempted to drive on the other side of the road for the first time in our lives. I did not volunteer for this duty. I do love driving long distances, but never really liked driving as part of commuting, or just short distances. In fact, I really only drove frequently when I was 16-18 and then again for two years in Utah. Never really fond of it, so didn’t think I was the best to attempt any type of driving until maybe we get to the countryside tomorrow. Val did a fantastic job, though first gear tended to give her some issues, and let’s not even bring up the issues we had going in reverse or the fact that the clutch is softer than she is used to. I cannot complain though, as although I’ve always thought it would be better to have the gear shift on the left side, as I would prefer to shift with my left hand, I am not sure I could handle that combined with concentrating on driving on the other side of the road. Our first hotel room also had some more fun issues, but it was cheap, clean and allowed us to sleep……
